Blue Stingray Is Now an IMEC Third-Party Resource
Blue Stingray is proud to announce our recognition as an official Illinois Manufacturing Excellence Center (IMEC) preferred software resource implementer.
IMEC is part of the MEP (Hollings Manufacturing Extension Partnership) National Network, a public-private partnership dedicated to serving small- to medium-sized manufacturers. Based at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), MEP works to expand and diversify markets while prompting the adoption of new technologies.
IMEC’s priorities are aligned with our own: The goal of IMEC is to provide manufacturers in Illinois with the tools, techniques and technologies they need to compete globally. In practice, that means finding opportunities for optimization — automating tasks, eliminating waste, reducing inventories, and accurately identifying value.
Providing Illinois Manufacturers with Resources for Sustainable Growth
IMEC has a team of over 50 full-time employees and partners located throughout the state, which allows for a deep understanding of local requirements. Each year, IMEC successfully supports over 2,500 companies in implementing innovative and improvement projects — with a demonstrated return on investment that exceeds 19:1.
To maintain that ROI, the IMEC team evaluates third-party resources carefully. The evaluation process includes a review of case studies and written references, along with an analysis of prospective vendors’ services.
As an approved resource for IMEC, Blue Stingray is prepared to share our expertise with a wider range of regional manufacturers. We’re also excited to contribute to Illinois’ most effective partnership for growing enterprises.
Enhancing Value for Manufacturers Through Technology
We believe that custom software — and optimization of existing software — is crucial for achieving an optimized manufacturing process. That’s particularly true in unpredictable markets.
During the COVID-19 lockdowns, we helped manufacturers utilize predictive data tools to make rapid adjustments to changing supply chains. We’ve also helped clients connect different software systems to collect, analyze, and utilize data more effectively.
