Blue Stingray Embraces Community Giving
In 2012, after only three years in business, Blue Stingray made their first contribution to a local charity called Therapeutic Horsemanship. We knew then that giving back to the communities that helped create our business was going to be a core piece of our culture.
Now, seven years later, we continue to embrace a strong connection to our community. As we’ve grown, so have our efforts to support charitable organizations. We hope to assist not only in our own community but to contribute to the welfare of those in need even beyond our local area.
In July 2019, Blue Stingray opened the Monocle Learning Center as an educational resource to assist minorities seeking education and resources regarding technology. The Monocle Learning Center provides these resources at no cost to participants. This exciting addition also provides Blue Stingray employees an opportunity to personally give back by conducting training and support sessions. If you are interested in utilizing this free resource, or would like more information on what education we can provide, please contact us.
How Blue Stingray Is Giving Back
Blue Stingray contributes to many local nonprofits. We currently support nonprofits focused on health and human services, education, and animal welfare. We are privileged to give back to the following organizations:
TREE House of Greater St. Louis
Formerly known as Therapeutic Horsemanship, TREE House provides access to therapy, recreation, and education for individuals with disabilities. Because TREE House of Greater St. Louis actively improves the lives of many individuals in our community, Blue Stingray offers pro bono business services to TREE House and sponsors benefit polo matches to help the organization continue its wonderful work. Our CEO, Brian Rehg, also serves on the TREE House Board of Directors.
St. Louis Benefit Polo
The St. Louis Polo Club is the second-oldest existing club in the United States. Established in 1883, they have been a staple of the St. Louis community for nearly 150 years. Many of the matches held by the St. Louis polo club are charity events that raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for worthy causes. Some causes that benefit from these matches include TREE House, Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital, the Endangered Wolf Center, and Gateway to Hope. The St. Louis polo players continue to combine the thrilling sport of entertainment with charitable funding to maintain a time-honored tradition, while helping our community in the process.
Shriners Hospitals for Children
The Shriners Hospitals for Children are part of a well-established organization which provides the highest quality care to children, regardless of the families’ ability to pay. With 22 locations, telehealth sites, outreach programs, and community clinics, the Shriners Hospitals for Children assist communities across the United States and beyond. Blue Stingray was proud to sponsor a toy drive to help St. Louis-area children recover lost assets from a fire that destroyed a Botanical Heights warehouse in 2017. We were honored to dedicate our resources to give kids a second chance at a happy holiday season.
Boys Hope Girls Hope
Boys Hope Girls Hope is an international organization that helps academically capable and motivated children-in-need to meet their full potential and become men and women for others by providing value-centered, family-like homes, opportunities, and education through college. Our CEO, Brian Rehg, dedicates his personal time to mentoring young adults who are interested in careers in technology. Participants also have the opportunity to shadow employees at the Blue Stingray office to see how our staff puts their programming, design, and marketing skills into practice.
Central Institute for the Deaf
A recent addition to the list of organizations we support, the Central Institute for the Deaf helps children acquire spoken language if they are deaf and/or hard of hearing. Our CEO, Brian Rehg, recently attended the CID Out Loud annual fundraising gala to present a donation. Blue Stingray looks forward to touring the CID facility and working together to provide further support to this incredible organization.
Call For Help
Call For Help offers a wide range of services to individuals overcoming a variety of crises. They serve the St. Louis Greater Metro East and surrounding areas by providing sexual assault victim support, community counseling services, community stabilization programs, free walk-in counseling services, transitional living centers, and more. They are a leader in our community for equipping individuals to overcome trauma and homelessness through stabilization and transitional/support programs. Blue Stingray was a sponsor of the 2019 Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event. This event is the international men’s march to end rape, sexual assault, and gender violence. Blue Stingray looks forward to providing assistance to Call For Help today and well into the future.
If you have an organization or event in need, and would like to request assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
